The Words on Women’s Sports Collective brings together journalists and photographers covering women’s sports and provides a collective voice for those operating in this unique landscape.

Coverage of women’s sports has increased, but it is still the case that many journalists operate alone or in limited numbers within both their own media organisations and their sport.

The Collective gives journalists covering women’s sports the opportunity to connect, share best practices and raise any issues they may be facing. It can also make representations on behalf of journalists when required to do so.
Anyone who tells the stories of women’s sports in the UK is invited to become part of the Collective and help shape its future direction.
